Synopsis: Emma, who works as a waitress, is struggling to find love in NYC. Then, one day, faith brings her to meet Ryan: a confident, handsome, entertainment writer, trans man and queer activist. As their friendship begins to blossom into a relationship, Emma invites Ryan over to meet her religious parents — and finds herself faced with their transphobia. Will Emma fight for her one true love or will it lead to a downward spiral of questioning her own faith?
